Jeremiah,

 It is officially summer. We went to the annual Beulah Beach auction last weekend. You did pretty good and did a lot of playing in the grass and walking with your walker thingy. On the way back we stopped by a park and mommy and daddy relaxed on the grass while you climbed all over us. In vermillion we walked around and you were really intrigued by the loud motorcycles. Then we went swimming for the first time in your 1st pool. You didn’t like the cold water but you got used to it.

Jeremiah,

 Hey buddy, you are now 9 months old. The other day you took your first ‘baby step’ according to your mommy. I was at work and didn’t see it but there will be more for me to witness. Today you really freaked you mom out by trying to eat a cable-tie nail tack thingy. Luckily you threw it up and didn’t swallow it. You are getting too big to quickly. We are leaving for your first plane trip and first trip to Texas on June 3rd 2011. Your mom and I just adore you and love the new things that you do. We have been planting a garden the past couple of days and have taken you with us. Usually you hang out in the playpen… you spent most of your life inside during the long, cold winter… when we first put you on the grass you were scared of it. I made mommy a picnic table for our anniversary and we have been eating supper out on it almost everyday. You love to watch the dogs outside. Here are some Easter pictures of you and us.

Hey Buddy,

Well your Mom and I are just so in love with watching you grow and play and stuff. You are very active and love to explorer and check out things, especially the things that we say no to. You are eating many different foods. Since spring is here we let you sit on the grass and you were afraid of it. I had to show you that it was ok to touch. You still havn’t crawled around on it yet. You love when Caiden is around and like to ‘get’em’. I have been working at BSSi for a couple of months now and we are getting ready to go to texas.

Jeremiah,

You are now 6 months old. You have mastered the art of crawling and are getting into everything. About the same day that you mastered crawling you also started pulling yourself up onto your feet. It really freaks your mom out to see you fall down. You have bronchitis for the second time. It is has been just really cool to watch you grow and explore the world around you. You love paper and electrical cords, but you are not allowed to play with either one. Your mom and I love you so much and just have the best time together as a family. I get home from work everyday and want to give everyone a big group hug. You like to stand up holding your toybox and try to get toys out while standing but you don’t have enough hands and end up either half in the toybox or on the ground next to it. We can’t wait to see what you surprise us with next.

Hey Buddy,

Lot’s of things going on recently. Mom left us for the weekend and we survived! You’re first tooth has just came in! It is quite cute, IMO. You are trying your hardest to crawl. You get up on all fours and rock back and forth but don’t seem to be able to move forward. Matter of fact, you only seem to go backward . You also have a cold that you are now getting over. It is scary to listen to your cough and stuff… Umm… I have gotten a job in Lancaster.

Jeremiah,

Hey buddy! Well the new news is that you have developed a cold with a terrible sounding cough. You seem to be handeling it fairly well. It doesn’t seem to bother you too much, except when you are trying to sleep. You keep wanting to close your mouth and breath through you nose. Obviously that doesn’t work so you keep waking yourself up. You are playing in your bouncer and just sneezed and I looked over and you were trying to look at the snot bubble you had blow. It was cute and gross!

Mommy is about to leave us for the weekend. She is going on a “cabin 4″ reunion. This will be the first time she has left us overnight. I don’t know how you or her will manage without each other?!? Well, you are crying because you want out of the bouncer.

 A lot has been going on lately. We have been working on getting you to goto sleeep by yourself in the crib. This involves placing you in the crib, while awake, and letting you cry it out. We go in periodically to comfort you and let you know that “mommy and daddy love you”. You cried for about 45 minutes the first time but now you are much more used to it. Sometimes you now fall asleep in 10 minutes other times it takes longer. Tonight mom left us home alone and I did something stupid. I was eating come cantoulope and decided to let you try tasting some. Well, things went good for a while. Then you managed to bite some off! I noticed you suddenly were acting different then I noticed you were choking. Well, suddenly all the possible outcomes from this flashed in my brain. I flipped you over and gave you some firm pats on the back. You started crying, a lot! This didn’t help… I know you could breathe… but why were you all of the sudden crying frantically?!?! I figured you had a big piece of canteloupe trying to go down, which probably hurt. So I made you a bottle to wash it down… You calmed down, but then you kept trying to fall asleep… I refused to let you sleep at first… but eventually you won and I let you sleep. You are sleeping now and everything is ok.

We have been in Ohio now for about 10 months now. The economy is in pretty bad shape and I have been looking for a job now for most of the time. I have found a couple of temporary jobs and I’m looking for one now. Mom balanced the checkbook the other day and we only had about 13 dollars in the account. Needless to say, we are kind of freaking out. Oh BTW 13 dollars is about the price of a DVD.

We have a bouncer for you now and you love it. I’m watching you wake up now and you are heading for the tags on your playmat. The thing is full of hanging toys but you prefer the tag!

Jeremiah,

We have been so busy keeping up with you for your first five months of life that we have not written anything down. This is your father’s way of keeping a journal of you and our experiences as a new family.

After we came home with you I didn’t have a job, therefore, I would stay up with mom for your nightly feedings. I would get up with her and sit on the floor of the nursery and talk. I remember one day saying, “You know all those stories parents have about getting up at all hours of the night?…. Well honey we are experiencing it.”

You were about two weeks old when my mom and father with Clay and Chelse came up to see you.

You have got to be the cutest baby ever. I’m not just saying that because I’m your dad. Anytime we bring you somewhere, whether it be the doctor’s office, the grocery store or the photo studio people comment on how adorable you are. You must get your looks from your mom .

You are now five months old. You love to squel and scream when bored or want to be picked up. We have this playmat that you like to roll around on. You seem to like the tag more than the toys hanging from it. You have grown to like baby back messages and having your back curled. You are very spoiled when it comes to sleeping. You really only goto sleep while being walked around or bounced.

You are very close to getting crawling down. You can roll over and spin around on your tummy.

We have started you on solid foods and your Mom has gotten good at feeding you and not getting it all over you.
